Audio Prompts are pre-recorded audio files uploaded to Ringingo and made available for use in IVR menus, Call Queues, Ring Groups, and Voice Broadcasts. Every IVR greeting, queue hold message, and time-condition announcement uses an audio prompt file stored here.

Fields

Upload an audio prompt

1

Open the form

Click + Create Audio Prompt.
2

Name the prompt

Enter a clear, descriptive Name (for example, MainMenu-EN, WelcomeGreeting).
3

Select the file

Click Select File and upload an MP3 or WAV audio file. The filename appears in the path field once uploaded.
4

Save

Click Save. The prompt is now available in Welcome Prompt, Invalid Prompt, and Exit Prompt dropdowns when configuring IVRs.
Upload audio prompts in 8kHz mono WAV format for best SIP telephony compatibility. Higher sample rates (16kHz, 44.1kHz) may be downsampled by the carrier and result in audio quality degradation. Record prompts in a quiet environment with consistent pace for professional-quality IVR audio.
