Messaging Queues organise configured Messaging Channels into routing pools for agent distribution. When a customer sends an inbound message on any channel assigned to a Messaging Queue, Ringingo routes the conversation to the next available agent in the queue. Messaging Queues use the same ACD principles as Call Queues but for digital messaging.

Create a messaging queue

1

Open the form

Click + Create Messaging Queue.
2

Set identity and type

Enter Name, choose Type (Call Center), and enable Status.
3

Assign channels

Use the Select Type filter to show available channels, then pick the Messaging Channels to include.

Fields

A Messaging Channel can belong to only one Messaging Queue at a time. Assigning a channel that is already part of another queue removes it from the previous queue. Plan your channel-to-queue mapping carefully before going live.
