DIDs (Direct Inward Dialing numbers) are the virtual telephone numbers assigned to your Ringingo account. When a customer dials a DID, the platform receives the call and routes it based on the destination configured for that number: an IVR, Ring Group, Call Queue, or specific agent.

Create a DID

Open the form

Click + Create DID.

Enter carrier details

Provide the E.164 number, Timeout, Codec, and DID as Caller ID preference.

Enable

Set Status to Enable to accept inbound calls.

Fields

After creating the DID, navigate to the relevant IVR, Ring Group, or Campaign and assign this DID as the routing destination. A DID without a routing destination will accept the call but have nowhere to send it, resulting in immediate disconnection.
