# Manage the Do Not Call (DNC) Suppression List

> The DNC registry suppresses numbers from every outbound campaign. Add entries globally or scope them to a single campaign for compliance.

The DNC module maintains Ringingo's Do Not Call registry, a suppression list of phone numbers that must not be contacted by any outbound campaign. When a number is on the DNC list, the dialer automatically skips it across every campaign, regardless of which lead group contains the number.

DNC compliance is a mandatory regulatory requirement under TRAI guidelines and equivalent telecoms regulations in other jurisdictions.

## DNC entry fields

| Field        | Description                                                                        |
| ------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Phone Number | Customer phone number added to the suppression list. |
| Campaign | Optional. Restricts suppression to the specified campaign. Blank applies globally. |
| Status | Enable (active suppression) or Disable (temporarily lift). |
| Actions | Edit or delete the DNC entry. |

<Info>
  Update the DNC list before launching any outbound campaign. TRAI regulations impose penalties for contacting numbers on the National Do Not Call registry. Ringingo cross-checks all campaign leads against the DNC list at dial time, and DNC-listed numbers are automatically skipped without counting as a dial attempt.
