# Take a Break Using the Ringingo Status Dropdown

> Step away from calls the right way. Set a Break Code so the dialler pauses routing to you, and return to Ready when you come back.

When you need to step away for tea, lunch, or a personal break, change your status using the **Select Break** dropdown at the top of the screen. This pauses the dialler from sending calls to you until you return to Ready.

## Set a break

    Click **Select Break** in the top navigation bar.

  <Step title="Select a break type">
    Choose the appropriate break type from the list. The types available depend on the Break Codes your administrator has configured.

  <Step title="Return to Ready">
    When your break ends, click the same dropdown and select **Resume** (or your Ready status) to return to taking calls.

## Typical break types

The exact break names and durations are set by your administrator. Common examples include:

| Category           | Purpose                        |
| ------------------ | ------------------------------ |
| Tea                | Short refreshment break.       |
| Productive / Admin | Brief break for offline tasks. |
| Lunch              | Full lunch break.              |

  Break times are tracked automatically and appear in your Login/Logout Report. Only take breaks that your supervisor has approved.
